LayGiriParticipantCame up with the bright idea of using a separate menu like so “http://vuringroup.com/#x-section-1” instead of “#x-section-1” for my inner pages. Worked a threat because now it lets users go back to specific sections of the home page directly from my inner pages…
Problem now is… Navigation simply does not work on blog section… Clicking does nothing… Is this a theme issue? Because i am really confused… Here is a link http://vuringroup.com/blog/
Any help here would be much appreciated.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Note that One Page Navigation supposed to use on a single page website. You can’t simply use this on a multipage website properly unless you create separate menus and assign them for each page (if the links are different). And what you are getting is pretty expected.
Hope this makes sense.

LayGiriParticipantIt does make sense… But now how do I get users to be able to go back to sections of the homepage from the blog? The different links solution works on every page except blog page.
What is the solution for this?

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please create another menu and set it as primary, use absolute URL to target one page navigation sections.
e.g :
http://vuringroup.com/#x-section-1Hope it helps.

LayGiriParticipantYou haven’t read my very first post here obviously… I have already done that which you suggested and it works everywhere else except the blog section… Which is why I asked if there was a theme problem on the blog section.
I have used absolute urls in the new menu and it has worked on other internal pages except the blog.

Paul RModeratorHi,
I checked your blog menu urls and they are not absolute urls.
http://screencast.com/t/IA7LcPnx
The links should be http://vuringroup.com/#x-section-1 instead of just #x-section-1
You need to set one page navigation in your homepage.
http://screencast.com/t/d2h7RTw1Os
Your onepage menu should only have the ids(#x-section-1) as links while your primary menu should have absolute urls(http://vuringroup.com/#x-section-1).
Hope that helps.

LayGiriParticipantAll these has been set and it simply works every where else except the blog section… Please check these pages for clarity
The absolute urls on the new menu work there… But IT DOES NOT WORK ON THE BLOG SECTION. This is what I have been trying to say… There is something wrong with the X theme blog section.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for updating. It’s because you are using the default IDs (i.e #x-section-1). You should give the section an unique and meaningful ID using the ID field. If you use the default ID then it won’t make sense because the same ID exists on each page.
So let’s rename your home page section IDs and update the primary menu.
Hope this makes sense.
