Renew version – trying to switch back to Fixed Top
I had played with adding a second navi menu to the top bar using some of the child theme _topbar.php code. When scrolling down, both navigations would stay fixed and stack on top of each other. For that reason, I turned off the static top bar. However, the setting is not changing the functions of the site.
I have also turned off Ubermenu thinking it was messing with it. NO LUCK
Tried removing all of the _topbar.php and functions.php from child x theme. NO LUCK
Deleted child x theme and switched back to main x-theme. NO LUCKYou will also notice that I have a content section created on the homepage. It is just a background image, however it is aligned to the top of the page behind the navigation. It should be stacked below.
I cannot think of what else I might have changed that is not un-done!!! HELP

dakotagtsParticipantyes – that was the first thing I checked, I have it set on Fixed Top. I does not seem to matter if I put it on Fixed Top or Static Top. I have also checked if inline or stacked logo over navi changed anything. No changes. hmm…
Need to get this site launched, I have spent too much time on this issue. I hate to completely start over, but I cannot trouble shoot this much longer

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Have you activated ‘one page navigation’ option for home page?
One page navigation’s position is always fixed top. Please add following code in Customize -> Custom -> CSS :
.x-navbar.x-navbar-fixed-top{ position:relative; }Hope it helps.

dakotagtsParticipantPardon my ignorance, is that setting hiding in the customizer? I cannot find it. I have seen it in cornerstone under x settings. But that is page by page.

ChristianModeratorPlease go to WP Admin > Appearance > Customize > Custom > Global CSS
Thanks.

dakotagtsParticipantI understand that CSS entry. I cannot find the one page navi option. Again, I have seen it on the x-theme options in the cornerstone page editor.

Nabeel AModeratorHi there,
You can find the one page Navigation option by editing your page in WordPress and while in WP page Editor, under Page Settings Activate the One Page Navigation.
Hope this helps!

dakotagtsParticipantLooks Like the relative setting worked. I went through every page and did not find any with the one page navigation activated. Could the new menu in the top header location be giving the layout problems like this? I cannot wait for the new HEADER feature. It would make my situation look so much better.

JoaoModeratorHi There,
I am not sure if I understand your question, would you mind clarifying?
Thanks,
Joao

dakotagtsParticipantI used a top_bar.php modification to create a new menu location. I found the coding in another topic on this support forum. Since this menu location is not designed to be part of Renew layout, I wondered if some of the custom CSS and php menu code could cause this issue.

dakotagtsParticipantSince the site has been fixed with using the CSS position code, I don’t need anymore help. My last question was a hope to find out why it happened in the first place.
