Some of the links on my nav bar appear to be styled the same as the hover styling meaning it appears as if the cursor is permanently hovering over them.

Hi There,
You need to create another menu that looks exactly the same, That is necessary becasue beside your on page links you have a blog page, so it is a mixed menu.
The menu you have now you will use as your main menu, as it is, so it will be automatically assigned to the blog page.
The menu you will create will look exactly the same but you will change the links as follow:
change from:
http://www.diamondpixelcreative.com/#ID
to
#ID
Than assign this menu as your one page menu.
