    Hi Thai,

    Unfortunately another question:

    I have several onepages on my website that need onepage navigation. I want to do this, using the main navigation menu location. Unfortunately I need different navigation menus for different sites. For the moment, when I set a menu to primary menu location, it’s the same menu for all pages…

    Do you have any idea, how we can solve this?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi there,

    One page navigation is menu option per page only and not as primary. Hence, you can only assign one-page navigation to specific pages. Or you may try this plugin,

    Menu Swapper

    Menu location is primary.

    Thanks!

    Hi Rad,

    Thank you very much!
    Unfortunately I didn’t really understand.

    “One page navigation is menu option per page only and not as primary. Hence, you can only assign one-page navigation to specific pages.”

    That is actually what I want, if I don’t misunderstand! I want indeed assign onepage navigations to specific pages.
    To clarify this: I want to set menu “A” as onepgage navigator for Page “A”, then set menu “B” to onepage navigation for page “B”, then set menu “C” as onepage navigation for page “C”, etc….

    I just don’t know, how I can do this?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello Christian,

    Thanks for updating in!

    If you are using UberMenu, one page navigation may not work out. I would recommend that you deactivate Ubermenu and use the default menu is you really wanted to use the one page navigation feature.

    Hope this explains it.

    Hello Rue,

    Thank you so much for your support!

    I have now tried it with menu swapper, which was a very good hint!! Thank you for that!
    I am just having troubles setting it up.

    1. I created a menu location in menu swapper called “mixing online”
    2. I went over to appearance-menus and added “mixing-online-de” menu to “mixing-online German” Location and then added “mixing-online-en” menu to “mixing-online English” Location.
    3. I went to the related pages and set “primary menu English” to “mixing-online-English” Location for the english page and then did the same with the german page (with german locations of course)

    Now it’s working perfectly on my the english version: https://www.diamond-precision-studio.com/en/mixing-online/

    But it’s not working on the german version: https://www.diamond-precision-studio.com/de/music-mixing-online/

    What Am I missing??

    Thank you so much!

    I would be lost without you!

    Hey Christian,

    You menus are already in German (see attachment). Further customizations from here would be getting into custom development, which is outside the scope of support we can offer. If you need more in depth changes, you may wish to consult with a developer. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding.

    Hey Christian,

    Thanks for the information!
    I am not talking about the menu in the topbar but about the main menu location…could you please check it again?

    The customizer shows the menu like it should be: https://www.dropbox.com/s/x8k94t0qyn3ohsi/Bildschirmfoto%202016-10-09%20um%2014.18.54.png?dl=0

    But without customizer the menu is gone: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ef5zykzftpvyh08/Bildschirmfoto%202016-10-09%20um%2014.19.02.png?dl=0

    Here’s what I wrote before:

    In Appearance > Menu, try setting up your Deutsch Primary menu (see attachment).

    Thanks.

    That doesn’t work, because I need to set a theme location from menu swapper and then set it on every individual page. See my settings. This works great all all english versions. Th german versions are displayed correctly in the customizer, but not shown on the live page…

    Dear Thai,

    Unfortuantely I have to report, that I was wrong – the solution didn’t work for me…

    I will again post, where my question stared, so you don’t have to read the whole thread again…
    It’s a really strange issue 🙁

    Hi there,

    Question, I just need to clarify. I understand that you wish to assign the specific menu to the specific page, but does this still related to one-page navigation? Or is this related to the primary menu?

    1. If it’s related to one-page navigation (will not work on Ubermenu) then you should the menu to that page through Page Settings

    2. If it’s related to primary menu, then you should assign your menu here https://www.diamond-precision-studio.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php?action=locations before swapping it. I’m not sure about the plugin, though, it could be faulty since X’s uses two different implementations of the menu.

    This for one page ( based on MENU ID)

    wp_nav_menu( array(
            'menu'           => x_get_one_page_navigation_menu(),
            'theme_location' => 'primary',
            'container'      => false,
            'menu_class'     => 'x-nav x-nav-scrollspy',
            'link_before'    => '<span>',
            'link_after'     => '</span>'
          ) );

    and this for primary ( based on location )

         wp_nav_menu( array(
            'theme_location' => 'primary',
            'container'      => false,
            'menu_class'     => 'x-nav',
            'link_before'    => '<span>',
            'link_after'     => '</span>'
          ) );

    To make it short without any plugin, you can try adding this code to your child theme’s functions.php

    add_filter('wp_nav_menu_args', 'set_specific_navigation', 9999999);

    function set_specific_navigation ( $args ) {

    $page_menu = array(

    86 => 'mixing-online-en',

    8522 => 'mixing-online-de'

    );

    $menu_id = $page_menu[ get_the_ID() ];

    if ( isset( $menu_id ) && !empty( $menu_id ) ) {

    $args['menu'] = $menu_id;

    }

    return $args;

    }

    The 86 is the page ID of https://www.diamond-precision-studio.com/en/mixing-online/, and 8522 for https://www.diamond-precision-studio.com/de/music-mixing-online/. And you can add more.

    Again, this code may only work if you assign a menu, there is nothing to swap or filter when there is nothing in it.

    Thanks!

    Hello Rad,

    Thank you so much for the detailed answer.

    2. I’ve assigned the menus correctly to the related locations under appearance-menu. But there’s a bug for sure. The bug is not related to menu swapper, as i had the exact same isse with another plugin which does the same. The result was also the same: It works perfectly with all english menus but does NOT work with german menus. The strange thing is, that the german menus are indeed shown in the customizer of the related page. But it’s not shown on the live page….

    1. However. I tried it now with built in onepage navigation and that works. Unfortunately without ubermenu it looks aweful at the moment and need a little customization.

    Could you help me, making it look a little bit more like it looked before? That means, the button need to be replaced, the font has to way smaller and the whole menu should be inline with the bar and itself..

    how it looked before: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1kjkj57hufdcr7d/Bildschirmfoto%202016-10-10%20um%2010.01.03.png?dl=0

    how it looks now: https://www.diamond-precision-studio.com/en/mixing-online/

    Here’s all my css I already added in order to make ubermenu look good:

    .x-navbar .x-btn.x-btn-real {
        box-shadow: none;
    }

    .x-nav-wrap.mobile.collapse .x-btn.x-btn-real {
        width: 100%;
    }

    .x-navbar .x-btn.x-btn-real:hover {
        box-shadow: 0 4px 9px rgba(0,0,0,0.75);
    }
    .x-pricing-column h2 {
    background: black;
    }
    .x-pricing-column h2 {
        min-height: 155px; /*Adjust this accordingly*/
    }
    .x-pricing-column h2 {
        background-color: #c28c47;
        color: #ffffff;
        font-size: 3.2rem;
        line-height: 1.1;
    }
    .x-pricing-column h2 span {
        color: #c28c47;
        font-size: 1.3rem;
    }
    .x-pricing-column-info ul > li {
        font-size: 1.8rem !important;
        line-height: 1.4 !important;
    }
