I’m also using the MyBookTable plugin & happened to experience the same issue that the OP in the post above was dealing with. Since the topic was already closed, I figured I’d post a quick fix to enable title to display in Single Book view when using MBT & X theme.

The problem actually stems from the theme compatibility check function that MBT uses. This causes some type of conflict with the way MBT handles the get_the_title function in their mbt_single_book_title action and how X outputs post titles.

The solution to getting your single book title to display properly is simply by disabling Theme Compatibility mode in the MBT settings. Once it’s disabled, some minor css tweaks will have to be made for your MBT templates.
