I wanted to feature my video post by using the “Recent Posts” widget on my front page customised to show the category under which I published it.
However, It won’t show the video just the rectangle with the video icon on it.
Any idea why this is happening?
I hid it now because it was not working but if necessary can create a test page to show you.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

Recent posts element displays featured image only, even if the post type is video.
Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!

Ok, I just thought it would, because it does show the video play button on the blog posts list.
I have found another good way to feature them on my front page so it’s ok, but if you were ever to include this feature, please let me know!
