cdbehrleParticipantOn my category pages I can only edit with the customizer and there appears to be no way to simply turn these headers on or off I can see in the custom css that landmark headers have been hidden with display:none and .hide-heading .x-header-landmark {
display:none; Last party working on my site must have done this when I asked if the category title could be changed and when they could’t figure it out they got lazy and just hid them! – I found out where I can change the title on my own – but I don’t know how to change the hidden aspect. This would be amazing if you could simply have an on/off button for category/archive title display in customizer – maybe you do – butI just can’t figure it out.
My website is carladawnbehrlenyc.com and all my categories “collections, Bespoke, press etc- DID have headings- I would just like to turn them back on
Thank you

RadModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in.
Please remove this CSS from Admin > Appearance > Customizer > Custom > CSS
.hide-heading .x-header-landmark { display:none; } .h-landmark { display:none; } .x-header-landmark { display:none; }That should reset the visibility.
Cheers!

cdbehrleParticipantSorry for re-submitting same question just a bit ago – I could not see this answer on my account page. Found it via search- still learning my way around here. I will give this a shot thank you.

cdbehrleParticipantOK I did that- It worked, but only in the customizer view!- I double checked that it was saved, (yes) – title was showing on casegory pages – buy only while still in customizer. I have refreshed all my page views.
It would be great if there was a toggle switch to turn these on and off on cornerstone or customizes on a view by view basis.Next I have to research if I can add any minimal subtitle (informational) to any these sections – once/if I ever get them working!
And I will try and figure out how to find your responses easier next time!
Thanks

cdbehrleParticipantHi again, I am certainly hoping this will be the last question on this topic! I got everything sorted of most of my pages. Oddly there are still 2 individual posts that continue to show that double header.
I have a “collections” category – of 8 posts http://carladawnbehrlenyc.com/category/collections/
6 of those posts are showing correctly when you get to the individual post page here is an example of a correct one: http://carladawnbehrlenyc.com/adventurine-collection/
2 are showing like this: http://carladawnbehrlenyc.com/extreme-skins-collection/ with the extra heading “BLOG” across the top.I have gone over each post to make sure they are all entered the same- as far as I can tell they are. The original entries were not done in cornerstone- just the regular wordpress backend, but at one point it looks like one of the developers working on the site clicked “edit in cornerstone” on at least that one wrong entry so now I get that prompt about editing – I checked the text entry and all looks the same format wise. So I turned off editing with cornerstone for posts since I don’t use it- but wondering if something was affected?
I did notice, when I look at view source, on the correct vs. incorrect posts in this category, I definitely see differences between the code, but no idea where/how to fix this – the custom css changes for the global you gave me earlier worked everywhere else but not here. I am afraid of winding up down a rabbit hole!
Again thanks for all the help slowly but surely learning this beast!

cdbehrleParticipantI just noticed that BLOG is showing up on a lot of posts- not just collections- this is the issue I had 2 different developers not be able to figure out! I want to get totally rid of that extra header – everywhere….

RadModeratorHi there,
Ah you mean the landmark on single pages. I thought it was the post titles 🙂
There are two kinds of headlines, the landmark, and the title. All pages have the landmark, but single pages and the post has the title too that isn’t part of the landmark. Hence, two headlines. Please add this CSS as well,
.single-post .x-header-landmark, .single-x-portfolio .x-header-landmark, .page .x-header-landmark { display: none; }Hope this helps.

cdbehrleParticipantIs there a particular line / location I need to add that code to? I actually got rid of the header that said “blog (before I saw this reply) by changing the .h-landmark to {display: none;} but now I still have all this excess padding above my visible headers- but just on those pages where “blog” was visible previously.
Thanks for all your help

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
In that case, you need to hide .x-header-landmark .
.x-header-landmark{display:none;}Please try the above code provided by Rad and then you can add it into your Customizer, Custom > CSS area.
Hope that helps.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for the updates.
1] This css block doesn’t have any effect at all. You can remove this code:
.single .blog .x-header-landmark { display: none !important; }2] To change global spacing, typeface and padding on these headers, you can make use of this code:
.x-header-landmark { padding: 20px; font-family: Arial, serif; letter-spacing: 2px; }Hope this helps.

cdbehrleParticipantI have done this changes and that now brings back the unwanted “Blog” header on my posts which I don’t want. I just want post “title” to show on posts.
But I DO want Category name to appear on archive pages – by which I mean the pages that collect all the posts and products.
Honestly I am NOT clear at all as to the doubling up of headers and why it is happening and happening inconsistently at that
I am attaching screenshots- XXing fingers helps clarify!
1) is a collections post showing secondary ‘blog” header- ALL my posts – (in any category (collections, bespoke) now do this -this what I would like to get rid of on ALL individual posts- they have a title which is all they need at the individual post level.
2) is a collections post where secondary header does not show (I don’t know why they would be different since post creation was the same)
3) Collection Category (archive?) Has the header showing the way I would like now. It is just not centered or spaced correctly.
4) Shows the product category page – basically what I need, aside from spacing and centering issues , band here you can see there is WAY more spacing under the “Made-to Order” header than on the “Collections” header.
I really hope these screenshots help and I hope one day there will be an easier solution in X to this odd header issue in renew. maybe an on/off interface?
