MoonworksParticipantWhen I asked about licensing with Multisite, I was told that if under a single domain, that only one license is required, but after setting it up, I’m being asked for a license on each of the sub-sites.
This is a sub-domain installation, is that causing the problem?
Thanks.

RahulModeratorHi there,
Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thanks.July 20, 2016 at 12:57 pm #1095665
MoonworksParticipantI think I see what the problem is. I had to set up the Multisite as a sub-domain installation as one of the plugins I need to use does not work with sub-folder installations. It looks like this is then not recognised as the same site.
From reading around, one license is ok if each of the sites is for the same entity, which this is as it is giving people in Portsmouth a website where they report on things in their area or on a specific topic and these posts are then all shared on the primary site. It’s just a community site done in a slightly different way.
I read on one post that adding the code is really just for updates, and I wouldn’t be wanting updates on these sites as that would all be done through the main site, I also wouldn’t be wanting the plugins to show up, as they wouldn’t be able to install them anyway.
All I really need to do is to not show the message saying to validate and hide the plugins section and it will all just work fine.
I’m about to place login details on my other post, if you need to look in there for this too.
Thanks.

RadModeratorHi there,
Validation is only applicable for the single installation of WordPress. And yes, it’s for updates only. Sure please provide your login credentials.
Thanks!
