Hi folks,

Wordpress newbie here. I built my portfolio (somehow!) using another wordpress theme, but now I want to revamp it using my just-purchased X THEME. Anyone have any suggestions on the best practice to re-do my site while keeping it live?

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in and for choosing X theme! I would recommend that you create a staging site. This is very useful because you can test drive X, any updates, even your newly created pages in the staging area, do the customizations and troubleshooting without disrupting your live site. Once everything is perfect, you can easily and flawlessly push the update or site changes in the live site. To know how to create a staging area, please check out these articles:
