edgardo1025ParticipantHi,
I’d like to know where can I modify the Recent Posts shortcode. I’d like to customize a bit what is being showed on the recent posts. Like adding excerpt, adding the author (with permalink), adding the category and removing the date. Also the HTML markup would be different. So the design would look something like this (see image attached).
Can you please help me do this?
Thanks

Paul RModeratorHi,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, this particular customization request is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself. If you have any further questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries.
Thank you for your understanding.

edgardo1025ParticipantCan you please give some directions? Where in the theme can I find the file to edit the shortcode or the template?
Come on I’ve seen on this forum that you’ve helped people before with related questions to mine and you provided with a comprehensive answer to all their requests. I’m not saying that you do all the work for me, but all least give me a guide or some directions.
Thanks

RahulModeratorHey There,
Thanks for writing in!
X-shortcodes plugin will generate the code according to your settings and it will post into your page. You can check the relevant code blocks within our shortcodes demo section and edit them accordingly.
You can see our Image shortcode here :

Hope that helps.

JoaoModeratorHi There,
Sorry for the confusion, X Shortcode Plugin is an outdated plugin that used to be part of X but now has been incorporated by Cornerstone.
As Paul mentioned this particular customization request is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself. If you have any further questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries.
Have you considered using The Grid or Essential Grid to create your posts? You can find similar layouts to that on those plugins and would not require such custom development.
Hope that helps
Joao
