eimkeithParticipantHello again!
I’m using the [x_protect] shortcode on this page: http://zuffenhaus.jkeithwalters.com/eurowerks/repair/scheduled-maintenance/
but would like to make it read “Please Login to View this Page” and remove the black background?I’m also confused about the [x_protect] login – does it require visitors to use the Woocommerce login (that is currently at the top right corner of the site) for consistent client data collection? I’d like to know who is downloading the protected files, if at all possible?
Thanks again for all the help with styling this stuff – it helps get the template-look out! 🙂

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! If you use protect shortcode then user will need to login to your site (admin, editor etc.) to view the content and it’s not related with WooCommerce.
You can’t collect data from this. You might search for other third party plugin to achieve this since protect shortcode is very simple that only hide content from logged out users.
Cheers!

eimkeithParticipantAh, I see. I probably need some plugin that allows me to use [[[woocommerce_my_account]]] or similar, I suppose?

eimkeithParticipantI decided to keep things simple and give that content away for free (so no need to login there) and removed the requirement to register and login before leaving comments on blog posts (so no need to login there) – I’ll use Askimet of similar to handle spam, and manually approve all comments unless this is a bad idea.
My motivation is to have a single login option on the site, and for that to be Woocommerce. I could not figure out how to remove the WP login areas, so I just removed the reasons for anyone to use them. 🙂
K.I.S.S. method, right?

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. In that case you can hide/change the login URL. There are lot of free and premium plugins as well to do the job. Like this – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wps-hide-login/ or Hide My WP. Search for them if you are interested to do this.
Cheers!
