GrangeLifeParticipantI have just installed the X Theme – love it.
Had 1 issue so far, when the blog loads (http://www.grange-over-sands.life/) it is missing image files – the icons, buttons, etc. There are missing arrows and magnifying glass in search box.
Running WordPress 4.5.2 and I purchased X Theme yesterday.
Also, can you tell me how to import demo posts and portfolio items as I see there is not an option for this on the demo content setup page.
Please advise.
Thank you.

Nabeel AModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know how this goes!

GrangeLifeParticipantHello,
Thank you for your response. I have managed to correct the icon issue by amending the url in the wp-admin backend.
I would welcome information on how to import demo data to my site. I am teaching myself using Renew 5. A tutorial site I am working with shows Import Posts and Import Portfolio Items (see screenshot) but my version of X Theme doesn’t show these so I seem unable to set up my demo pages to learn on. Can you tell me how to import the demo posts and portfolio?
Thank you.

ChristianModeratorHey there,
Please update X first. See https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/ to learn how to update. Our demo import supports the newest version only. After that, see https://community.theme.co/kb/demo-content/ to learn how to import demo content.
Thanks.

GrangeLifeParticipantHi Christian,
Thank you. I’ve reloaded the demo version of Renew 5 and the posts and portfolio items now appear in WP. However, the Blog and Portfolio pages do not appear on the site menu. Is there information on how this can be fixed so it looks a bit more like the demo site at http://theme.co/x/demo/renew/5/? Also, how are pages added to the site?
Thank you

flysocalParticipantI have the same issue…. and can’t fix it. I don’t see most Icons and my fonts don’t change.
When GrangeLife said “fixed it by amending the url in the wp-admin backend”..
What does that mean?

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! It means she change/done something on the URL settings but we are not sure either what it is. Would you mind providing us the site URL with login credentials in private reply, so we can take a closer look?
Cheers!

GrangeLifeParticipantHi, Hope I can help here. What happened in my case is that I installed WP on a new hosting package prior to the nameservers being set up. As a result, my hosting set up a temporary site with an IP address different to my site address. To fix it, I went into the WP – Settings – General and changed the Word Press Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) to my ‘live’ site address. I also had to unassign my X Theme licence from the temporary site address and reassign it to my ‘live’ site address.

GrangeLifeParticipantThank you Joao – I’ll take a look.

JadeModeratorHi there,
I have just checked you setup and your blog page is assigned to the News page since it is the one set in Settings > Reading > Front page displays > Posts page.
If you want to add it as a menu item, you can go to Appearance > Menus then add the news page in your main menu.

GrangeLifeParticipantThank you Jade. I guess I’m having trouble finding my way around. I hate being a ‘newbie’!
