I’m using X-Eros. I work on the site at work and buttons such as page forward/back are not visible. But, they are on my home computer. Further, when in Cornerstone, some of the buttons are just not there. I can hover over them and they’ll work, but they’re not visible.
I’ve turned on Google fonts but the particular font I’ve selected doesn’t show…. but it does at home.

I’m pretty new to this… but am I doing something wrong? I’m using wordpress 4.5.2 and cornerstone 1.2.4.

    Thanks,

    Hi There,

Thanks for the credentials, but I’m getting the icons on my end.

Can you try using a different browser (chrome/firefox) on your office/work PC?

    Thanks.

No unfortunately. IE is the only installed browser on the network. Could this be some sort of Java issue?
The network here is running Version 8 update 77.
I’m at a loss to understand why certain buttons are missing. It seems the actual code works if you hover over the spot… but on mine, the button is not depicted.

    Hi There,

What version of IE? Take note that Cornerstone does not fully support IE. We can not tell if the issue is related to Java version since we can not replicate the issue on our end (nothing to troubleshoot). One logical cause here is your computer does not support custom font, or your network block the fontAwesome files. Can you check the icon element and see if the icon shows up. And on your Cornerstone editor can you press F12 and see under the console tab if there is any error.

    Thanks.

I went to Elements and found that when you select Icon, there aren’t any showing. Plus, I don’t think there are any custom fonts showing either, so maybe that’s the problem… my network wont allow them to load. Thanks for you help.

    Hi there,

Upon checking your site, icons were showing fine. See the attachment.

Please clear cache and check again.

    Thanks.

I cleared the cache. No difference. You can see from my screenshot, that I don’t have icons, etc.

    Ideas?

    Hi There,

Did you try with another browser? If you can’t install Chrome or Firefox in your network please try with other computers outside your network (or ask a friend).

The issue might be either your network or your browser doesn’t allow the custom font (fontAwesome) to load.

    Thanks.

I think I’m just going to have to accept that I cant get it to work right on this network. It works fine on my laptop.

Finally…. does the following picture mean anything? Meaning, should there be multiple directories with wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi There,

No, there should only be wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes inside WordPress installation folder, unless your WordPress site is a sub-domain of another WordPress site.

I think that files/folder has nothing to do with the fontAwesome issue as we can not replicate the issue on our end.

    Thanks.

If you reference my last attachment… you mention that there should only be one set of wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes.

What’s the best way to delete the second set of those? I’m not sure why I have both and as you can see…. a complete novice.
I just started working on this and my WordPress site shouldn’t be a sub-domain of another WordPress site.

The themes I want to keep are not in the directory under WordPress. They are at the same level as WordPress.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Can you provide us your ftp/cpanel login in private reply so we can check the files.

    Thanks
