ScottParticipantHi, enjoying X. Using the demo 1 as my basis http://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/… but am unable to make the menubar behave as in the demo. I need it to appear below the initial content, then when scrolling, lock to the top after it appears from the bottom.
Please advise. Thanks!December 21, 2016 at 1:02 pm #1300838

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! Please navigate to Appearance > Customize, on the Customizer under the Header panel set the Navbar Position to Fixed Top.
But it looks like your home page is using a page template that has no header/menubar?
Cheers!

ScottParticipantHi, I’ve had no luck getting a menubar to appear.
My goal is for the menu to behave exact like it does on this page:
http://theme.co/x/It should start locked to the bottom of the window, and then attach to the top of the window after scrolling to that position.
Does this make sense?
thank you.

FriechModeratorHi Scott,
Thanks, yes your request is clear. But we can only do that if (1) You have a slider or banner on top of the page that will occupy the above fold of page together with the menu bar. (2) With that said the page should have a menu bar, but the current template (
page-template-public) you have on the home page does not have a header, that template is not from x|theme. Please choose a page template that has a header (http://prnt.sc/dmx5kv).Thanks.

ScottParticipantHi guys,
This is the template currently being used. Sorry, I thought it was part of X-Theme? (see screenshots)
Can you pls clarify which template I should use to place a single banner to fill the space above the fold?
Thank you.

JoaoModeratorHi Scott,
Please use Blank No Container Header Footer as your template.
After selecting your template, scroll down the classic wordpress back end editor and select your slider ABOVE masthead.
Save it.
On Revolution Slider make sure you made your slider full screen.
After that , still on your slider settings, you will find “Increse/ Deacrease Full Screenheight” – On the first box where it is writen “Containers” you will add .masthead
Hope it helps
Joao

ScottParticipantAwesome! That worked.
HOWEVER… I prefer the menu behavior seen in the main X-theme page: http://theme.co/x/
Where the menu is visible at the bottom, and then locks at the top when scrolling, on both desktop and mobile.
Can you pls tell me how to use that one instead?
Thanks for your help. You guys are living up to your “All-Star Support” reputation. 🙂

FriechModeratorHi There,
On your slider settings find the Increase/Decrease Fullscreen Height option and put #wpadminbar, .masthead on it.
This will make your feature slider and menu occupy the entire above fold of the page.
Your menu is already behaving that way
That was the option you set from Customizer > Header > Navbar Position > Fixed Top
Cheers!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating us in!
Please increase your Navbar Top Height in the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Header > Navbar. At the moment, you only set it at 33 pixels wherein the total height of your navbar is 60. Please change it to 60 pixels instead.
It seems that you would like to have a one page navigation. To properly set it up, please create two set of menu. One Menu is for the primary menu and the second menu will be exclusively used for your one page navigation. For more details, please check this out: https://community.theme.co/kb/how-to-setup-one-page-navigation/
Hope this helps.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! To resolve your issue and make the navbar as fixed top in smaller screens, please add the following css code in the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Custom > CSS
@media(max-width: 979px){ .x-navbar.x-navbar-fixed-top { position: fixed; } }Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.
