BetterBParticipantHi. We’re developing a site using X (4.6.2) and running UberMenu (3.2.5). It’s a big site, still under development.
We’ve installed a purchased copy of UberMenu (not using the one packaged with X).Earlier this month, the menu went haywire – the order and hierarchy of the items within the menu suddenly changed ‘by themselves’, destroying the menu that we’d created. (The menu was complex – many hours work – with multiple levels.)
We restored the site database to before the problem occurred, which restored the menu. However, as soon as we do anything on the back end, the menu breaks again, until we restore the database once again.
Something seems to be corrupting the database… 8-/Please help…
The site is hidden behind a ‘Maintenance’ plugin, and so requires login to view.
http://www.unitronix.lightworkit.com.au/The original menu has a top level of 6 items. Once the menu / database crashes, all menu items become top level, filling the page with menu items.

BetterBParticipantp.s. We’ve increased PHP max-input-vars to 3000, which didn’t solve the issue

RupokMemberHi there,
It seems the issue is with your menu itself. You have number of menu items in first level but there is not enough space for them and surely it’s pretty unusual to have so many menu items in first level. Beside this I can’t see any issue and I am not really sure what you are trying to achieve here.
Thanks!

BetterBParticipantUnfortunately, you’re seeing the ‘crashed’ version of the site. This is exactly what happens – all items become ‘first level’ once the problem occurs…
I’ll restore the database and get the menu to show correctly, then let you know.
The actual menu is very detailed, 3 level, with only 6 top level items.

Paul RModeratorOkay, please let us know once database has been restored so we can check.
Thanks

BetterBParticipantSorry for the delay.
The database has been restored. You can see the menu now how it is meant to be.
What we’ve found is that most any action within WP Admin somehow breaks the menu, leaving most items as top-level…
Thanks for your help.

BetterBParticipantActually, sometimes the menu/DB breaks about a minute after restoring the DB (without anything being done in WP Admin), so it’s possible that you’re not going to be able to catch it with the menu/DB in it’s good/correct state…

BetterBParticipantWe’re are seeing this error, too:
PHP Notice: Undefined index: WP_Widget_Recent_Comments in /home/unitron1/public_html/wp-content/themes/x/framework/functions/global/remove.php on line 36

RupokMemberHi there,
It seems broken on my end. I’d suggest you to install a fresh copy of WordPress on a new database. Don’t forget to export the settings from Tools and Customizer.
Thanks!

BetterBParticipantG’day, and thanks.
Yes, she breaks about 2 minutes after I do a DB restore… 8-/
We’ve tried a fresh WordPress install, then recover files and DB from before the problem occurred.
Same result – the menu comes good, but then crashes again about 2 minutes later (I can just view the front end and keep hitting refresh in my browser and after about 2 minutes, she crashes. If I go in Appearance > Menus, then, it shows the crashed version.)We’ve uploaded many products to the site, so can’t do a fresh DB.
Cheers.

LelyModeratorHi There,
We’re sorry you’re having this issue. Please check in with your hosting provider and ask if you’re not reaching the maximum of your memory limit. If not ask them for your error logs. It might show the reason why database keeps on crashing.

BetterBParticipantOk, will do.
Thank you.September 22, 2016 at 3:23 am #1186145
