cwacholderParticipantI’m having trouble positioning the submenu under the corresponding menu item
I’m using a child of Ethos, and as I wanted the submenu to be a narrow column under the menu item, I used:
.x-navbar-fixed-top-active .desktop .x-nav .x-megamenu.custom-width-1>.sub-menu {
max-width: 200px;
as a custom CSS after adding a custom class to the menu item.
The problem I’m having is that the submenu appears to the left of the page instead of unfolding under the corresponding item (Information).URL is desarrollo.maritimapampa.com
Thanks in advance for the help!

Please change CSS classes to this:

Hope it helps 🙂

cwacholderParticipantThanks for the help!
I’m getting this look now, which is not what I want. Submenu items should be one below the other.June 1, 2016 at 10:32 am #1020203
cwacholderParticipantI did review the megamenu post before even starting with the setup.
I thought that the logic was x-megamenu col-1 for the look I’m after.
No luck so far. The items take the whole width of the page, which is not what I want.
That’s why I was experimenting with the code I posted earlier. It does do what I want, but sends the submenu to the left, under the “home” item in the menu instead of staying under “information”, as it should.June 1, 2016 at 4:46 pm #1020872
JadeModeratorHi there,
I have just checked your site and the layout seems to be broken due to some required files missing. Have you done some changes that caused this? I am trying to get into the admin section as well but I can’t seem to find it due to the URL of the site that is a bit confusing.

cwacholderParticipantI updated X to 4.5 and after that everything went really, really south.
I don’t even know where to start fixing this
Will follow as soon as I can get the site straightened upJune 2, 2016 at 12:51 am #1021524
Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Could you please give us the correct WP login. The one you have given is not working for us.
Are you using CloudFlare or may have installed a caching plugin like WordFence, W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? Please keep in mind that after doing every updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
Please let us know how it goes.

cwacholderParticipantGot my wp-config file a bit garbled, that’s why login was impossible (among other terrible things!)
The site is back online with the given credentials. Still haven’t got any luck with the menu.
Should I try UberMenu now instead?June 3, 2016 at 12:21 am #1023637
LelyModeratorHi There,
Upon checking your site, you have already activate Ubermenu. Does this solve the issue you were having? Please clarify if you need further assistance so we can help you better. Activating ubermenu will override the default setting of X primary menu. Adjusting submenu position below it’s main menu will raise issue when on smaller screen because there’s not enough space to display everything when the screen is narrow. If you would give us a screenshot of what you want to achieve regarding submenu, we will be happy to check further.
Cheers!

cwacholderParticipantHello there!
I’ve solved my submenu problem with ubermenu. Now I wonder if there’s a way to keep the Ethos look, but with the Ubermenu easy submenu configuration?
Thanks!June 3, 2016 at 9:00 am #1024210
cwacholderParticipantNevermind
I’m using the “Vanilla” skin and formatting Uber to get back to Ethos looks.
Great plugin. Thanks for the addition!! -
