Dear X team, thanks for a great theme. I’m having only one issue: the masonry view of the blog page loads very slowly. This happens especially on Android tablet using Chrome or Firefox; but I get the same issue via Safari on Macbook Pro. The page title displays with blank space below it, with just a few dots to indicate loading for a number of seconds until the tiles finally display.
– I have deactivated all unused plugins (only X Custom 404, Contact form 7, Akismet, Redirection and Cornerstone still active; even deactivating Redirection makes no difference).
– I have reduced the number of posts displayed to 12, and the images (there are only 4) are all under 200kb. It’s mostly audio embeds from Soundcloud plus 2 video embeds.
– I have tried changing the blog layout to standard. This loads instantly without delay, and of course all the content is the same, which means it can’t be the images slowing it down. There is something wrong with the masonry view.Can you please have a look to see if there is anything else I can do to speed it up? The page is http://liveworkwell.co.uk/resources/.

Thanks for writing in! I have tested your site. It seems you are using lots of embedded Soundcloud Audio. Note that an embed is an iframe which completely loads a web page from the source. So as you are using lots of that, you are actually loading lots of web pages together. Certianly it will be slow specially on mobile device as it has limited processing speed than desktop.
Either use less embed or optimize the site in other way. You can follow our Performance article.
