    Hi,

Just read some of the other topics and and cant seem to find out what is wrong with my settings since I cant seem to display blog posts in masonry layout on post index page in Ethos.

“You need to disable ‘Filterable Index’ option under Customize -> Ethos -> Blog in order to display masonry layout.”

I have tried this to no avail. Some advise would be good 🙂

    Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! I have logged in and checked the settings. So far no issue should be expected.
This is the standard layout: http://prntscr.com/cjavzm
This is the masonry layout: http://prntscr.com/cjawqd

Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

    Thank you.

    Hi again,

Well the look I am after is on the frontpage, down where the essential grid comes in. That masonry layout uses the full height of images and I thought maybe masonry on blog layout did the same. As the blog is now the featured image is cropped(?) and the client does not get to show full image content, which is their wish. Now I could go ahead and just make an essential grid page based on those categories, but the more robust way I feel is to see if theme can do the work first.

    Hello There,

The masonry layout for the Blog is a lot less like that the one generated by the Essential Grid. With the blog masonry layout, you will only have a uniform column width and height. The way the item in the blog index doesn’t have the same element structure made with Essential Grid.

    Hope this explains it briefly.
