Thanks for writing in! wrap your text on a anchor tag
<a href="">e.g.
<a href="http://google.com/">THIS IS A LINK</a>And then place that on Customizer > Footer > Footer Content.

You can have something like this:
<a href="http://google.com/">Link Item 1</a> - <a href="http://yahoo.com/">Link Item 1</a> - <a href="http://facebook.com/">Link Item 1</a>And if you are linking to your site pages, please enable the footer menu instead. Simply go to Appearance > Customize > Footer > Footer Menu and enable it. You can then create and manage the menu items in Appearance > Menus. You must assign your menu as the footer menu. For more details on how you can create custom menus, please check this out: https://community.theme.co/kb/wordpress-custom-menus/
