    Hello,

I have this site I’m working on: http://www.passingrass.com. I was wondering how I could make the Home or Landing page the first page users go to when they sign up. Basically the same as Facebook or Twitter or any other dating site. Would this be a Landing page? If I create one of these how will I link it to the rest of my site so when a user signs up they get access to the rest of the site?

    Thank you.

    Hi There,

    Thanks for posting in.
Just to clarify, you want your site to be available to members only?
This can be achieve using plugins. You may want to check the following plugins:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/restrict-content-by-role/

Restrict User Access – Ultimate Membership & Content Protection

    Hope this helps.

    Hey,

Yes but when you go to the website it will have a page with a signup form. So you can’t look at any other part of the site until you sign up. If I were to remake the Home page there will still be other pages in the Navigation visitors can click on. Just like Facebook, you HAVE to sign up.

So the site now http://www.passingrass.com has a video playing in the beginning. I basically want to have that video background on the Home page and have a Register or Login Form with no navigation bar to the other pages on the site, until they log in.

    Hi There,

Unfortunately, this function is not available in X by default. This can be achieve using a plugin or customization which is outside the scope of our support.
This might be what you’re looking for:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/restricted-site-access/

Limit access your site to visitors who are logged in or accessing the site from a set of specified IP addresses. Send restricted visitors to the log in page, redirect them, or display a message or page.

You might also want to check this:http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-show-different-menus-to-logged-in-users-in-wordpress/

    Hope this helps.
