I use Events Calendar Pro, how do I make an ECP event post “Featured” so that they show in the Ethos POST CAROUSEL?

Maybe you are right. I would think I would just need to tell X theme which post types to display. Events Calendar Pro creates events as a post type, could I not tell X theme to display that post type instead of only the standard post type?

Yes, this is not available by default. This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development.
