whistlermediaParticipantHello,
I have checked this forum a lot for various issues or fixes on things, but I can not find any solution for the issue I’m having.I purchased a license to Visual Composer and updated it to 5.0 (active). Updated the X Theme version to 4.6.4 and have Cornerstone version 1.3.3 installed but not active because it breaks my site.
I’m not sure what happened as I haven’t updated anything in a week or so. Now my visual composer shows no content on the home page or any page, but I see all of my elements on the backend as if nothing changed. I ran the wp_debug and it returned these two errors:
Website in question: http://www.collisionworksokc.com
Notice: Undefined variable: fade_duration in /mnt/stor16-wc2-dfw1/608433/www.collisionworksokc.com/web/content/wp-content/themes/x/framework/functions/global/plugins/visual-composer.php on line 5173
Notice: Undefined variable: bg_color in /mnt/stor16-wc2-dfw1/608433/www.collisionworksokc.com/web/content/wp-content/themes/x/framework/functions/global/plugins/visual-composer.php on line 5234
Again, I haven’t updated anything other than buying the license to update VC which I hadn’t done when the issue started. I am currently at VC 5.0 to see if updating the plugin would help but it hasn’t.
Also, we rely on cornerstone for our client to get into the site and make landing pages. But for some reason, Cornerstone was causing an issue where you just get a blank page when accessing the admin panel.
Any assistance would be a huge help as I don’t have much hair left to pull out!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! What you were seeing is not a bug or error. These are simply PHP notices of undefined variables. This will not affect any of your site’s operation or any of the Visual Composer features and functions. It just messed up the layout because these notices appeared. There is absolutely nothing to worry about any of these notices. As soon as you turn off or disable the Debug mode, the layout should be back to normal. Please have the Debug mode disable.
You say that Cornerstone is causing an issue with a Blank page. Usually a blank page is a fatal error or could be a PHP memory limit exhaustion. Please try to increase your PHP memory limit to at least 256MB. If nothing else works, would you mind providing us the ftp login credentials so we can take a closer look?
To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– FTP Hostname
– FTP Username
– FTP PasswordDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thank you.

whistlermediaParticipantAlso, yes I had already added additional memory via my wp-config file. Didn’t seem to help.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thank you for updating in! I have logged in to your site and already fixed the issue. The issue may happen to occur because there maybe some files that were corrupted. I just simply deleted the Cornerstone plugin and re installed a new one. I cleared the plugin cache since you have WordFence installed. The fatal error is now gone.
If you need anything else we can help you with, please let us know.
