    So, first of all I am very impressed with what the X-Theme offers, and I am trying a few things right now. So far I was able to solve any problem, but now I am wondering how to turn off the double opt in feature of mailchimp (or better: of the mailchimp plugin). I saw that a solution was to add

    add_filter(‘x_email_mailchimp_skip_double_opt_in’,’__return_true’);

    to the functions.php, but that didn’t seem to work for me, unfortunately.
    Now I am wondering, as this thread was quite old, if this is still a recent solution.

    My website’s url is http://thehexacube.com

    I’d be very glad if you could help me solve this problem.

    Okay, I just figured it out, I didn’t See the newly appeared Option to “Skip Double Opt In”.
    After actually checking that option, it worked.
    I hope noone has to bother with answering my question now.

    Hi there,

    Please go through the following thread (https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/mailchimp-form-opt-in-users-option-not-working/) as there are some changes involved in MailChimp API.

    Thanks!
