MamaghanParticipantHey Guys,
I am a novice.
I installed the mailchimp plug in.
I created a mailchimp account, mailchimp subscriber list and then a Maichimp API.I have been entering the API key into the Mailchimp API key field within the X setup, then hitting ‘Update’.
Nothing happens!I have looked at the tutorials and following them set by step but the API key isn’t registering. I cut and past it from Mailchimp into Mailchimp API field and it disappears, it doesn’t register in the field or turn green, it just disappears when pasted?
Help!
Regards

RadModeratorHi there,
Thanks for posting in.
Could be related to connectivity between your hosting and mailchimp server.
Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentials
– API KeyDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thanks!

RadModeratorHi there,
No luck, can’t verify my other guess since it;’s only possible through FTP. Need to directly check the connectivity between your site and MailChimp.
Thanks!

RadModeratorHi there,
Upon thorough investigation, I found out that it won’t resolve or connect to MailChimp server. It returns 0 instead of HTTP response. Usually, if it’s just due to firewall or blocked requests, it should at least return HTTP headers and the error message. But it’s not, the connection is canceled at the time it tries to connect.
I disabled Wordfence and it’s configuration (wp-config.php) but still the same. Do you have host specific security software running? And please try this, https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/validation-fix-installed-curl-on-my-vps-and-it-works/. It might be related to cURL installation.
Thanks!
