Alejandro Jose SParticipantHello,
Is there any way to load the slider (flexslider) shortcode before other parts of my site? (maybe by loading the script in the header instead of in the footer)
I have that shortcode as the first element on the site and i’d really like it to load before the section that comes after it or at least not to take that much loading as it does now. you see, it first loads all the site and then loads the slider.
just to be clear, i’m not asking for a performance tip, i just want to know if there’s a particular script that takes care of this shortcode and if it can be moved to the header or even to one of the elements that load before the site has loaded, even if it takes a bit longer for the site to load.
the site is discovermessina.it
thanks in advance!

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! This slider is included as Cornerstone element, so there is no particular script for this that you can load earlier.
Cheers!

Paul RModeratorHi,
It loads last because your images are big and it takes time to load.
You can try pre-loading your images.

Hope that helps.

Alejandro Jose SParticipantI’ll try that and also will further optimize the images and see if that solves the problem 🙂
