    Hi X support,

    Please review this thread from late last year:

    Can you please update me whether there is now a way to add javascript or CSS to make the captions appear in full size view in the lightbox.

    I do understand we can get around it by manually entering captions in the code, but this is CRAZY time consuming, I am using the method where we just use Media Library to create . edit the gallery, which lresults in code like this:
    [gallery columns="4" link="file" ids="8203,8291,8499,8469,8207,8205,8206,8204,8491,8492,8493,8494,8495,8496,8497,8498,8509"]

    and then add this code to make lightbox effect: [lightbox selector=”.gallery-item a” thumbnails=”true”]

    If it is not doable yet, do you have a timeframe please?

    Hi there,

    It’s still the same and captions are currently available in lightbox when using WordPress gallery. We can’t give you any ETA for this but I can forward this to our developer so that they can assess this and decide this for future development.
