Hi, i have a setup like this:

play me
[lightbox selector=”.lightbox”]

The VideoID is of course fake, but if you insert any valid, this will happen:
The lightbox will open, it will preload the preview, it will put the player in playmode (pause-button lower left) BUT it wont play. It will start to play the second i a) double click the pause/playbutton, or b) click anywhere inside the lightbox.

So it looks like auto playback is enabled only if the lightbox is focused.

How to fix?

Hello There,

Thanks for providing the information. Most of the time autoplay videos will only play if the content video wrapper is visible like when you open the page, you’ll see the video right on the page. Since this is a lightbox, it might not properly play. Please also be aware that autoplay and loop will not work on most mobile devices.
