David AParticipantHi guys,
I’m setting up a number of sites in a WP multisite installation that is using a number of themes. I have a single license for X.
I understand from other questions in the forum that X could be used for a site with multiple sub-domains but not for multiple sites (domains). Is that right?
Assuming I were to use this license for a single site with multiple sub-domains does it matter (work better) where the X theme and child theme are installed: under the network themes tab or under the site themes tab?
thanks,
David A

CousettMemberIt will probably be best to install it on that particular site so that it is not available to the other domains. I hope this helps.

Kosher KMemberHi David,
You cannot install X multiple times on the same wordpress installation (WordPress won’t allow you to install the same theme more than once). you only need to buy a license for each domain, and if you are having a multisite, I suggest you to buy the Extended license.
Have a great day
Cheers

johnevangelistaParticipantI to have a question in regards to multi-site usage of the x-theme theme within our network.
We have purchased the X-theme to allow users the flexibility to create subfolders within a multi-site. Where they can build custom pages or sites under the same domain.
My question is since these subfolders where the sites or pages are under the same domain and are for internal use only do we require anything more than the regular license.
Thanks

ZeshanMemberHi John,
Thanks for writing in!
Single licence is only valid to the domain and its sub directories, e.g.
domain.com/sub-directory. If you setup a different domain or a sub-domain e.g.site1.domain.com, you’ll need to purchase a separate licence for that. For more detail, please review this post: https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/subdomain-licensing-question/#post-179487
Thank you!
