DariyaParticipantHi Team,
I should have brought this up much earlier since I’ve been having this issue for a few months now.
Also, it seems like I am not the only one with this particular issue (I tried other recommendations from the forum but it’s not helping me) so I couldn’t find a solution.
Here’s the issue: my visual composer is not responsive. It loads fine but when I try to click on any function (for example – add text element) nothing happens. It doesn’t respond to any commands. (Snapshot attached).
P.S. I tested for the interference w/other plugins by deactivating them but that made no impact on my issue.
Can someone please look into this?
Thanks a mill in advance!

Nabeel AModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! You’re using an old version of X theme. You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.
Let us know if the problem remains!

DariyaParticipantWoops, thanks! I wasn’t aware of that.
So I followed all the instructions below and updated my X-theme (screenshot below) using this process:.MANUAL X UPDATE VIA FTP
Unzip x.zip on your computer.
Rename the x folder to x-updating.
Connect to your server via FTP and navigate to your /wp-content/themes/ directory.
Drag and drop the x-updating folder into your themes directory.
Upon completion, rename the previous x folder to x-previous.
Rename x-updating to x. Your site will now be at the latest version.
Delete the x-previous folder.
Visit the WordPress dashboard at least once to ensure any migration logic can run (this happens behind the scenes).Did it actually update my X-theme? Nope. Still had the same old version upon checking my dashboard. I re-installed everything again from scratch – it didn’t work again. (I got the latest version i.e. zip file from your dashboard but something is wrong there.)
I finally updated the theme using the ‘Themes Dashboard’ in my WP. So no I am up on the latest version. Great news.
Went back to check on Visual Composer issue – and discovered that the latest X-theme update had absolutely zero impact on it. I am back at square 1.
Please help!
Thanks a lot in advance!

DariyaParticipantNever mind! I solved it haha. All I had to do was update the plugin (I think the update became available because of the theme update).
Thanks again anyway, you guys rock!! 🙂
