Gary SParticipant
X-Child Theme: Ethos
X – 4.1.0
Wordpress version: 4.3.1I have spent hours with my host provider trying to resolve this issue and they continue to say it is the theme developer’s problem. My one “password protected” page on any iOS system (apple / Mac) pulls up as a white page. I can navigate to all of the pages on a PC and on an iPad, Mac, iPhone…when you login to the “password” protected page, after entering the password, a blank white page comes up?? This was not an issue until I did the updates? I also migrated all of my data / folders to a new server with my host however they take no responsibility for this problem…any ideas or solutions? Thanks.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! A blank white screen usually means there is a fatal PHP error. Can you please enable WP_DEBUG mode? You can do this by opening
wp-config.phpand adding
define( 'WP_DEBUG' , true );just above/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */For example:define('WP_DEBUG', true); /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */When you revisit the page with the white screen, you should have some error output describing the issue in more detail.
Please let us know how it goes.

JadeModeratorHi there,
You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
If this does not solve anything, kindly provide us with your wordpress admin details and ftp so we can further check.
Hope this helps.

JadeModeratorHi Gary,
Would you mind providing us with the details of your admin area as well as the FTP so that we can check this further for you? Please also provide us a password for the password protected area.
Thank you.

ChristianModeratorHey Gary,
It works fine on my end (see http://i.imgur.com/LZsH6pr.gifv). Please clear all your caches and browser history. The error messages you posted earlier tell us that there’s a problem with a custom function in your functions.php and also your plugin alfie-wp-weather. Please remove all custom functions and uninstall that plugin.
Thanks.

Paul RModeratorHi Gary,
Sorry, we have no idea what happened as it was working the last time we check.
Anyway, glad to know it is working now.
Have a great day!
