cgenselParticipantHi,
I had to have malware removed from my site by Sucuri. They had to deactivate pretty much everything on my site in the process. I went to revalidate my X license and used my envato purchase code but it’s giving me an error that this is not a valid code (but it is). This happened once before when I repointed the domain but that time it fixed itself. This time it hasn’t. I have no idea what to do, please help.
Thanks as always,

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Your site is not using X. Let’s activate X and try validating from X Addons menu.
Cheers!

cgenselParticipantHi Rupok,
Thanks I didn’t realize they’d turned that off too. I am still having one issue. I had a child theme I was running. How do I activate both the child theme and X? Or does just activating the child theme do the same thing?
Thanks,
Katie

RahulModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing back!
You can download and activate Child Theme easily. Just need to validate the parent theme to make use of it. For more information about the Child theme and its installation process, kindly follow below given link :

Hope this helps!

cgenselParticipantHi Rahul,
To clarify I already have an installed Child Theme that I used while building the site. Everything was deactivated during malware removal and I’m just trying to reactivate everything correctly. I cannot seem to activate both X and X Child Theme in the Appearance–>Themes. So I have activated the Child Theme. It seems to be working and running smoothly. As long as the Child Theme is activated and my X license is validated, which they are, am I good to go?
Thanks,
K

RadModeratorHi there,
Yes, it should be good. They are basically the same, but child theme lets you override templates when you intend to do customization. Child theme is just an empty shell 🙂
Thanks.
