    Greetings X Fam,

I believe the issues I’m having with my website’s wonky images is due to the fact I do not know how to update my child theme with the recent X update or the WordPress update.

I’ve lost countless hours trying to get my website working and looking the way I need it to, but I’m taking shortcuts which is forcing me to redo sections of my entire website.

    • yith-wishlist stopped working; replaced with add to cart url link and even that stopped working http://nextstepsyep.org/digital-badge-gallery/
    • recent posts shortcode stopped working (both X and siteorigin)

      Home

    • paypal-donations plugin stopped working

For starters, can someone help me make sure my WordPress, X and Child-X themes are playing well together? Then afterwards, can we figure out what the heck is going on with my other stuff? Please!

Just know, what I see in my admin page is not what is seen by the public. It’s perfect in my view, but completely distorted in the public view. Is this a WordPress problem or an X problem?

    Hi there,

#1 You need to use woocommerce shortcode to display list of products with add to cart functionality.

#2 Please remove the file functions.php from /public_html/wp-content/themes, adding functions.php in this directory has no effect. Functions nedd to be added under child theme’s functions.php file. Recent posts are displaying fine in CS page, but not in front end. Do you have any caching plugin? Please clear cache on plugin and check again.

#3 In regards with paypal donation, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.

    Hope it helps.

    Greetings Chris,

Unfortunately, none of those suggestions were helpful — at least not immediately.

I initially wanted assistance with yith-wishlist which was working until the whole Man From U.N.C.L.E. thing happened with the Hostgator server. I can only imagine how frustrating the requests for error assistance has been for your team.

Seems like, since that time, things have been coming apart on my site. I was forced to reinstall my site, re-do countless hours of work and tweaking — losing tons of custom quick fixes here and there along the way. Now I’m months behind with all of the progress that has been lost and can’t seem to get some basic functions working again (like arranging and viewing four recent posts in a horizontal row).

So, my frustrations come when I see what I want on the back-end but when I refresh my screen and go to public view, it’s not right. How is it possible and not an X-theme issue if a plugin works on the back-end but not the front-end?

Can we try for a more specific solution instead of just clearing my caches?

    Hi There,

Upon checking, I can’t see any errors on the console. I tried to download your page as template on Cornerstone to check if the issue is content related. But then I can’t access templates. It is blank. I can see you do have a lot of plugins. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

    Greetings Lely,

I will do so and hope to have it resolved soon.

    Thanks for your help
