wbgTHEMECOParticipantI’ve downloaded and installed the most recent version of Theme X and imported the Integrity 5 demo.
I don’t seem to be able to add post content using the WordPress visual editor.
I move on to clicking ‘edit with Cornerstone’. Within that environment, I seem to have to add a section, followed by the a text element, for every page or post I want to create. I’m guessing that I’m doing something very backwards but cannot see my error.
What is the best practice for adding in content to Theme X.
thanks

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! Standard demos provides you a home page with a place-holder contents on it for you to replace.
But since you edited the page outside Cornerstone (WordPress visual editor) you lose the ability to edit that page back in Cornerstone.
Setup the Integrity 5 Demo again, and you should get that demo page back.
If you’re creating the page from scratch. Yes, you need to layout your section, row, and column first before you add an element.
For more info about cornerstone please follow this page: https://community.theme.co/kb/ and read the article regarding Cornerstone.
Hope it helps, Cheers!

wbgTHEMECOParticipantDo I need to add section, row, column, element every time I want to add content to a new page or post?
I was hoping I could have a layout that would “draw in” the content area from the WP editor, making it easy for people to write content.September 11, 2016 at 1:38 am #1169834
RadModeratorHi there,
Within cornerstone yes, you’ll have to add section, row, and columns. But it’s usually automatic when you drag and drop elements to the preview window.
But if you’re referring to text editor, no need to section, row, and columns. Unless you wish to main a structure.
Thanks!

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
If you want to use cornerstone you should add at least one section to drag and drop elements.
But you are free to choose between WP editor and cornerstone. I recommend you to use CS which is much faster and easier to manage content. Please check this link : https://community.theme.co/kb/hope it helps.
