In the visual editor when you add a photo using add media, the caption of the photo is displayed underneath it. When I use a media object, and add a photo, there is no caption

    Hi there,

Would you mind pointing out specifically which media object you are using to insert the image that is not adding the caption? If it is the image element in Cornerstone, currently there is no feature with the element that adds the image’s caption automatically. You will have to manually add the caption below the image inserted.

    Hi there,

Cornerstone image element doesn’t display caption. Please insert image using ‘Media’ button in text element.

    Thanks.

    Hi There,

You can use the Feature Box Element. Which Counts with a Title and Subtitle.

Or you Can use the PROMO Element on Cornerstone, which I believe is the solution you are looking for.

I have implemented them on this link so you can have a look.

I’ve added a promo and it seems to be almost there, but there is a lot of space on the top, and the image is inset.

All I really want to do is display two images, side by side, withe the same style as single image.

Can i tighten up the space between the title and the post text.

    Thanks

    Hi There,

Sorry, but it is still not clear what you’re trying to achieve. Would you mind providing us a mock-up design of what you’re trying to do.

    Thanks.

Thanks for your patience, I probably should have done that to start with.

The first file – “what I want ..” – shows what I can create in the visual editor. It also shows the spacing I want between the title – “Test layout” – and the start of the post.

The second file – If you make …”- shows what happens if you make the screen size just little smaller. I understand the image will have to move, but when that happens I’l like it to move to the left under the other image. There also seems to be more space needed to keep them side by side than is really necessary.

When i started this thread the suggestion was to use Cornerstone, which I’m planning to use at some point. The problem is in Cornerstone there is way too much space between the title and the text, and i can’t get the caption to appear correctly. If I use PROMO Element it insets the photo.

    Hope this helps

    Hi there,

I’m not able to replicate this. Promo boxes display side by side until the screen width reaches to 767px, then they stack on top of each other.

Please clear cache and check again.

To remove the space add ptn in section #1 class field.

    Hope it helps.

    I’ll try that.

    There are two issues here.

One is Cornerstone and I’ll try that in the promo box. They tack fine for me as well.
Also, How do Is reduce the spacing between the post title and the start of the post text?.

The second was doing the side by side in the visual editor (not cornerstone). How can I get them to stack when the screen side is reduced, instead of having one at the least and the other at the right>
