rabblerParticipantHi guys
How do I increase the size of the recent posts header on the front page?
Im working on switching our site from renew to ethos as folks are complaining its hard to access our content! (staging site is at http://rabble.wpstagecoach.com/ )
Wish ye’d bring out a more magazine friendly front page.
Also, is it possible to recreate a slider like at http://rabble.wpstagecoach.com/category/topics/interviews-topics/ for the home page easily?
All the best.

RadModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in.
You can resize it through this CSS, please add this to Admin > Appearance > Customizer > Custom > CSS
.x-recent-posts .h-recent-posts { font-size: 25px; }Yes, ethos is good for magazine type layout, and you can feature posts through carousel or post slider. And even filterable index.
And about the slider, that’s the post slider I am referring. And it’s only available on ethos stack.
Thanks!

rabblerParticipantYes, ethos with the Grid seems to be the key and is working out nicely.
Essential grid was way too slow and frustrating to load.
The difference is mad.
On our blog page
Is there a way to even the blog posts?
They are staggered for some reason and it looks off

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Don’t you have plan to add featured image to your posts? the empty space belongs to featured image.
Thanks.

rabblerParticipantAll of them have featured images.

Browse down and youll see what i mean, the posts are staggered – some into the right, others flush and centred?

rabblerParticipantNo worries,
I was curious too if there was a way to get a slider like
http://rabble.wpstagecoach.com/category/print-edition/rabble12/
On the front page of the site
bar using Revolution Slider?
Like is there a quick hack or option to that
I have the other categories being called with The Grid

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating this thread! In the example url, the page is displaying a post slider. The post slider can be enabled in the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Ethos > Post Slider – Blog or Post Slider – Archives. Please keep in mind that this can only be on the front page is your blog index is the home page.
If you use a slider revolution, you can put a slider in your homepage by assigning the slider above or below the masthead. Please do check this page: https://community.theme.co/kb/sliders/
Hope this helps.

rabblerParticipantThanks, I got to the desired effect with Rev Slider.
Though TBH I think ye could really do with making the front page easier for magazine folk to figure out.
The Grid works really well for that purpose but maybe signalling it a bit more would get you more results.
I was dealing with lots of moaning from my team before stumbling onto the Grid thanks to one of the Facebook X Theme user groups.

January 17, 2017 at 8:53 pm #1334461
rabblerParticipantalso despite slider turned off on the settngs for mobile, its coming up with the “no slides found please add at least one slide template to the chosen language?” on my phone
