https://mxei.com/categories?filter_brands=1226Upon checking i realized that i have not created these pages, so from where these pages are coming and they are increasing.

Prasant RaiModeratorHello Saqib,
Thanks for writing in!
Job of X Theme is to controls the presentation of content. A WordPress theme can’t create a new page/post by itself. In that regards i suspect there might be some unauthorised activity going on your server. Please get in touch with your hosting provider and also have a look at the log files. That should give you a idea as to what’s happening in server. Also make sure your are fully updated.
Thanks.

SaShahParticipantThank you for your reply, basically if you take a closer look at the image attached in the last reply, they all are product attribute/filters and NOT pages. Upon checking in my wordpress admin there are no waste pages created, only the pages which i created.
But google is fetching them as pages and i do not know from where because these are not pages but product attributes. And there is no suspicious activity on the server. Can you please help me regarding this that why the product attributes showing as pages.
Need help.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for updating. Those category filters are dynamic paths to filter categories and should not count as page by any means. I am not sure why it’s being treated as page. Filtering category is a core feature of WordPress with such path and we can’t control that and should not be any error.
Cheers!

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for updating. Simply people are clicking on those links and getting 404 errors since they doesn’t exists (changed I guess). So I believe you have shared them somewhere (in Social media or another site) and people are still clicking through those links thus you get the errors. There is nothing wrong with theme or WordPress I believe.
This article might help you – http://www.lunametrics.com/blog/2014/08/19/404-errors-google-analytics-google-tag-manager/
Cheers!

SaShahParticipantHi,
thanks for the information. But unfortunately you are not getting me.
This one page i fetch from google webmaster that shows 404 page not found error.https://mxei.com/categories?filter_colors=1095
if you take a close look of this URL, this is not the actual page neither i have created it nor any user can find it and click on it BECAUSE this is a color attribute which i created for my products NOT a page.
The question is, how google is showing this attribute as a page. that’s why i am afraid that this is not a page and theme cannot create a pages by itself but “is this a theme which convert attribute as pages” otherwise where these attributes as pages come from?
It’s amazing, please once more take a deep look on it and help me to handle this problem.
Thanks

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
The page shows
yith-wcan-proclass in its body tag which doesn’t belong to X.
This could be caused by one of your plugins, please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.Hope it helps.
