antowpParticipantHello,
I have tried almost 20 – 30 times, including 15 “clean-cache” times, but still cannot set up the demo Ethos 1 on my development site.
Could you please kindly help?
Thank you.

RahulModeratorHey There,
It could be permission error. Please follow this guide and make sure your permissions are set correctly : https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
If it doesn’t work, let us know your admin credentials.
Thanks

antowpParticipantHello,
I applied 777 for the folder themes/x/framework/views/ethos, but it still does not work.
What are the folder(s) or the file(s) I would apply 777, please?
Thank you.

RadModeratorHi there,
Before I continue testing, I just like to clarify if it’s okay to overwrite your existing content and settings. Is it okay? Because testing the import may overwrite if it’s successful.
Thanks!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I am another staff. I did not continue and haven’t tested to import Ethos 1. I am afraid I might overwrite something else. One thing I’ve is that you have added invalid entry in your wp-config.php.

What you have experienced is maybe because of PHP memory exhaustion. I have fixed the entry in the config file. I would suggest that you test again your site by importing the Ethos 1 demo content.
Hope this helps.

antowpParticipantHello,
I followed your advice and tried again, but it still does not work 🙁
As I confirmed, it is OK to overwrite my existing content and settings. Do not be afraid then!
Please kindly try to import Ethos 1 (After importing, just kindly let me know what you do to import, to allow me to do the same on my other X websites – as I wrote to you above).
Many thanks.

JoaoModeratorHi There,
Two things are important when setting up / copying style from one X Theme to Another X Theme:
1- Customizer Settings.
To import it and export it you use the Customizer Manager that is under Wp-Admin Dashboard Addons.
2- Cornerstone Templates.
Inside Cornerstone you are able to save your page as a template on your website or to download it.
After you can simply import and insert the template in cornerstone.
You find the template as soon as you enter cornerstone in the very first level.
As Ethos is a blog and doesn´t have a home page you will simply import the Customizer setting via Customizer Mananager and after setup at Appereance > Reading your home page as a posts page.
I Have updated it for you, let us know if you need help with anything else.
