sportsnapperParticipantHi,
I’ve based my site on integrity 1, and am now at the stage where I’m happy with bits of it.
I’ve just gone to modify the ‘about’ page, and it appears to be the content/style from a different demo. This may have been as I messed around a bit with different styles before choosing integrity1
How can I import just the pages I want to replace from the integrity 1 demo? I’ve made a lot of style changes (and some code changes in a child theme) in the portfolio and I don’t want to lose that.
Thanks

sportsnapperParticipantI’ve searched again, and read the import demo content part of the doc https://community.theme.co/kb/demo-content/
There’s a couple of reassuring quotes
The importer also intelligently discerns which items you do and do not have present, so nothing will be mindlessly duplicated or repeated
and
The importer is not destructive, meaning it will never touch any existing content you may have in your installation.
So I backed up my customiser settings, and the whole wordpress site.
I then re-imorted the demo content according to the kb article above.
I didn’t get the about and contact pages I was hoping for. I did lose my old home page entirely – which is contrary to the notes above which say it’s non destructive
Checking the kb article again – at the very bottom it suggests that I may need to clear the cache to get the content to load correctly. I did this, reloaded the content and still didn’t get the example pages I was expecting 🙁
I’ve now restored the whole site from a backup so I could get my home page back (not great, but it was a start!), and await an answer.

RupokMemberHi there,
It seems you imported the Agency demo and the about page belongs to that. You an now create a new page and open with Cornerstone, then click on “Templates” and insert the “About” page – http://prntscr.com/ct08vp
But it might not be the same as Integrity 1 demo. So if you want to get that particular demo without loosing your current content; you need to setup another staging site and import integrity there. Then you can save your page as Cornerstone page template and import it to this site.
Hope this makes sense.

sportsnapperParticipantThanks.
Shame you can’t just download the cornerstone page templates for the demos…
I guess I can spin up another droplet and install wordpress to create a staging site. I presume that install the x theme again to just create a page template won’t cause any licensing issues??

sportsnapperParticipantWell, created another instance an installed x, then setup the demo content – but, as I now realise, that doesn’t actually set up all the pages that are in the X theme demos.
It would be useful to have a copy of the contact page – the rest I think I can create from existing blocks, or one of the fifty free blocks from 10xlayouts.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for the updates! The standard demo content will import the customizer settings and just the homepage. Only the expanded demo contents will import all the entire pages even including the slider. By the way, the contact page in integrity 1 demo was built with out Cornerstone. This page is just using X shortcodes because this page has not been updated for a while. It has been used to showcase the map embed and column shortcode at that time.
You can easily re create the existing standard demo pages in Cornerstone. You might want to check out the default Cornerstone templates as well.
Hope this helps.
