    Hi

I’m sure there’s a simple solution to this, but I’ve been tearing my hair out unable to find it!

I’m trying to link images on my site (published in visual editor under the Image shortcode) to an external url – yet the external url I enter in the Href box becomes preceded by my site page’s slug rather than on its own, (i.e. for the url http://www.elite-edge.com.au it creates http://www.lifemasterycoach.com.au/coach/www.elite-edge.com.au)

Am I missing something really simple??

I can easily add a straight url link to an image if I enter one in a standard wordpress/text box with access to the full image link options, but I want to achieve the hover-fade effect of the Image shortcode yet no such options exist when adding the media…

    Your help is much appreciated

    Dave

    Hey Dave,

It seems the URL you inserted is missing http://. Please add that up.

The Image shortcode doesn’t have a hover fade effect. Can you give us the link to what you mean?

    Thanks.

Thanks so much – yep, as suspected I was missing something incredibly simple!

The effect I referred to is just the standard fade that occurs when an image is hovered over in that shortcode by default – looks great by the way.

This theme has made my site a breeze to create and add new content – many thanks!

I do have another quick query – there is blank space appearing at the bottom of each page I create (e.g. http://www.lifemasterycoach.com.au/) – how can I remove this?

    Thanking you

    Hi Dave,

I’ve tried taking a look, but it looks like that URL is down. Are you having any issues with your hosting?

Have you added anything extra under Customize > Footer? This could cause a blank space.

    Hey Dave,

Please disable the Footer widgets (see http://prntscr.com/362pmu)

The hover fade effect can be enabled by checking the Link option of the Image element using Visual Composer or link=”true” using X Shortcode.

    Hope that helps. 🙂
