    Hi,

I am having a problem with an image file that was associated with the demo template I used. It is interfering with the SSL on the site, causing a mixed content error warning. I have used the Search and Replace plugin repeatedly to change it from http to https and it temporarily fixes the issue, but whenever I go back to the page from a fresh browser window it reverts to the mixed content warning.

    My URL is thehaw.org.

The file that is giving me the error is http://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2013/06/bg-integrity-1.png, and it shows up twice as an error each time. To my knowledge it is not an image I need, I think it was either a background pattern or a placeholder, but I don’t know how to find it to delete it (which is why I tried to just replace the http with https to stop the mixed content error). I have attached a screenshot of the error.

Please advise on how to get the search and replace to “stick” or how to locate that file to just delete it if it isn’t a critical file?

Thanks as always for the great support,

    Katie

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! You can Edit the page using Cornerstone, then select the section and you can re-attach the background image so that it will pickup with the HTTPS:// URL (https://snag.gy/8Pfn49.jpg).

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Darshana,

I’m still a little confused. I see where it is now, and how to remove it, but how will I reattach that image if I can’t find that image anywhere? It doesn’t show up in my media library.

    Thanks,

    Katie

    Hi Katie,

Please try to change it in Appearance > Layout and Design > BACKGROUND OPTIONS > Background Image.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Jade,

I looked into this and it would be a global change…this is an image appearing several times on the homepage only, I don’t want to make a global change. There is no background image selected because it’s not a global image. I still can’t find where this particular .png is stored. It seems to be the one creating the lines for the “timeline look” on the homepage. Darshana’s suggestion would work if I could find the image again to replace it once it’s deleted. Other suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Katie

    Hi Katie,

Actually that is a Background Pattern, please upload this image on your media library and set that as the Background Pattern, navigate to Customizer > Layout and Design > Background Pattern.

    Hope it helps, Cheers!

    Hi Friech,

Would I do this on the individual page? I don’t want this background on everything just the relevant section of the homepage.

    Thanks,

    Katie

    Hi Katie,

To address the SSL issue, set a background pattern and just remove it when the “Remove” button appear (http://prnt.sc/dfwn5l).

To set the background pattern to relevant section, upload the image pattern on your media library and set it as the section’s background. Since it is a pattern enable the Pattern option (http://prnt.sc/dfwnyp).

    Hope it helps, Cheers!

    Thanks Friech,

Setting and removing a background pattern with the new image uploaded to the media library was enough to correct it. I didn’t even have to set it on particular sections, it seems to have found it OK now. I will let you know if I have additional questions.

Thanks as always for the awesome support!

    Best,

    Katie
