    Hi,
I have just created a new site using X theme and it all works fine on PC and Tablet.

However when viewed on a mobile phone all pages work OK as expected apart from the home page which contains 5 rows of section feature image left and section feature image right – See http://www.vudu7.com – after custom headline “All in One for Everyone”

Instead of the 5 pictures being rescaled it shows blue block with 600×700 – the uploads folder contains scaled images of the images used but these do not show. There is also a strange problem where the page text is not displayed but replaced with the latin default text when an object is added.

The site was created on a localhost domain and backed up using BackupBuddy, which did a partial job but didnt update the mysql with the image links so I had to update these manually. It has also not ‘restored cornerstone correctly as all the cornerstone images are missing in the editor, which makes it challenging to try to see what is wrong !

Can I safely deinstall cornerstone and re install without causing more problesm ????

    Look forward to advice

    Many thanks
    Ian

    Hi Ian,

Thanks for writing in! I think that is the Hide Base On Screen Width feature. What that does mean is the content http://prntscr.com/c6aalf that you’re seeing on mobile is on a different section which is only visible to mobile and the section that you’re editing all this time is only for desktop and will be hidden on mobile.

Please read this post: https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/timeline-image-rightleft-question/#post-782616 for more info.

    Hope it helps, Cheers!

    Hi,
I fixed the mobile device display problem in cornerstone by selecting the smallest view. In this view there were no images and the latin text was displayed. I added smaller images and updated the text with the texy from the larger view to the smallest view. It works fine now on all sizes.

Note that I couldnt do this running cornerstone locally from the server as it was not displaying correctly as explained above. I am remoting in to the server (windows) so it has a smaller screen resolution.

I could only fix it by going in to wp-admin from my workstation over the web. This has a large screen and cornerstone displayed correctly. However it still doesnt show the cornerstone image/icons. See attached.

    Any ideas ?
    Thanks
    Ian

    Hi There,

If you have performed a migration please check this link:

    https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-migration/

In case you did not please follow this steps:

Please try to install and run Transient Cleaner (https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/).

    1. Install Transient Cleaner
    2. Navigate Dashboard -> Tools -> Transients
    3. Set Clear Expired Transients -> Enable
    3. Set Clear Expired Transients -> Clean Now
    5. Set Remove All Transients -> Enable
    6. Set Remove All Transients -> Optimize Afterwards
    7. Set Remove All Transients -> Clean Now
    8. Save Changes
    9. Recheck your Cornerstone for functionality

    Hope it helps.

    Joao

    Hi Joao,
Sorry for the delay in replying –
I did the above and all transients removed.
However the cornerstone icons still dont show.
Where can I find them in the folder tree so I can check they are copied OK and where are they referenced in the mySQL tables ?
    Thanks
    Ian

    Hi Ian,

Cornerstone uses fontawesome font for the icons.

Please refer to the link below for a fix.

    Thanks
