    And it’s displaying many links that give a 404 error.

    But when I log into the backend of WP, those pages are not there. How do I remove them if they are not visible to me?

    for example, I have no idea how it came up with http://www.verticalseomarketing.com/2016/08/verticalseomarketing.com????
    That does NOT make sense, and I’m totally baffled. Any suggestions you can provide would help. I don’t understand how it’s pulling links that don’t exist, and never have existed.

    I’m working with my host provider on this issue, may not necessarily be something relevant to your theme.
