WPH2oParticipantHello,
I get so tired of seeing this–and all the extra work I need to do to fix it each time.
And it makes me look like a fool to the site owners when they see it.
Your theme (X – Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.I’m using a child theme, and If I’ve updated the X-Theme–why can’t these WooCommerce files get updated on every site as well?
How can I solve this once and for all on every site?

Rue NelModeratorHello Chris,
Thanks for writing in! Please be advised that by default, these are the only WooCommerce files included in X theme:
x/woocommerce/cart/cart-empty.php x/woocommerce/cart/cross-sells.php x/woocommerce/loop/loop-end.php x/woocommerce/loop/loop-start.php x/woocommerce/loop/pagination.php x/woocommerce/notices/error.php x/woocommerce/notices/notice.php x/woocommerce/notices/success.php x/woocommerce/single-product/product-image.php x/woocommerce/single-product/product-thumbnails.php x/woocommerce/single-product/related.php x/woocommerce/single-product/tabs/tabs.php x/woocommerce/single-product/up-sells.php x/woocommerce/single-product-reviews.phpYou can find this list in WooCommerce > System Status (http://prntscr.com/dkto4e). These are the only files that will be updated as soon as you update X theme. If you have added a custom woocommerce templates in your child theme, then that could be the source why the notice keeps appearing.
I would recommend that you completely delete X theme and re install it again. There might be remnants of old files or something that is causing this. To assist you better with this issue, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look? This is to ensure that we can provide you with a tailored answer to your situation. Once you have provided us with your URL, we will be happy to assist you with everything.
To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / passwordDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thank you.

WPH2oParticipantThank you.
I’ve never added any custom templates to WooCommerce.
Ever.
I use the X child theme on all sites.
When I set up a new site,
1. I buy an X license.
2. I download the latest X theme and install it
3. I download the same old X child theme
(V3.2.2+ which never gets an update)
https://community.theme.co/child-theme/4. I activate the X Child
5. As soon as I activate WooCommerce I get this message–everytime.

Paul RModeratorHi,
Please note that the Latest Supported Version of Woocommerce is V 2.6.9
Bundled plugins are owned by third party company and always releases new version first.
For each release we need to test it with our theme thus the delay.
https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/
The latest version is V 2.6.11
We’ll be updating the plugin soon.
Thanks
