Omar OParticipantVersion: 1.8.3
By ThemecoIt’s hard to believe but I’ve managed to be stuck on version 1.8.3
I thought that the theme was auto updating, but I guess that got turned off at one point or another.I’m trying to resolve an issue that I’m having with the Visual Composer plugin, which I assume to be a version conflict.
Instead of displaying the Visual Composer ‘visual’ editing interface all I see when editing pages are blocks of shortcodes and other css.
I tried deleting VC, downloading, extracting, and uploading the latest version from Envato’s X Theme package, as I had done previously, but that yielded no results.
Then I noticed that my theme was severely out of date, and tried to update it, but now the CORNERSTONE plugin seems to be giving me issues.
Specifically, this is what I’m seeing:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare x_shortcode_dropcap() (previously declared in /home/olasnygu/public_html/wordpress/wp/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/shortcodes/dropcap.php:6) in /home/olasnygu/public_html/wordpress/wp/wp-content/plugins/x-shortcodes/functions/shortcodes.php on line 92
Once I see that, I have to restore my WP installation from a previous date to get back to my dashboard.

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Please delete x-shortcodes plugin which is under your plugins directory (“/wp-content/plugins/”).
Hope that helps.
