    Hi guys,

I’m using theme X voor some years now for an used cars dealer. I use an iframe to display the cars on the website. The pictures of the cars should expand on mouse click in a lightbox-like way. This stopped working. If you view the iframe target outside theme X there is no problem with the images.
Using the latest theme X version, latest WordPress etc. Tried disabling all plugins etc. but nothing seemed to work.

    http://www.ochw.nl
    iframe target: http://voorraad.ochw.nl/

    Can you help me out?

    Thanks!

    Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! I have checked your page and it seems that there are invalid and unclosed html codes on the page. This could messed up the layout. Please update the topbar content:

    <span style="color:#FE4652; font-size: 12px;">OCCASION CENTER HOEKSEWAARD</span>

    Hi there,

Thanks, but it’s a bit unclear where is the issue. Would you mind providing more details of where the iframe supposed to be? Like which is the trigger, lightbox, and screenshot of how it should be.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

When you click on a car you see the details page with a couple of images on the right side. When you click on an image it should expand in a lightbox-like way. If you use voorraad.ochw.nl you see how it should work. On http://www.ochw.nl/autos/ you’re the picture won’t expand/magnify. Used to work without problems for years.
Attached a few screenshot as well.

    Thanks!

    Hello There,

Thanks for the updates! I have checked this url, http://www.voorraadmodule.nl/s4402c1dfba6a49a77eca41fd14f98577/0666/stock/vehicles/100/details/10876254/chevrolet-epica-2-0-sedan-lpg-g3-leder-zeer-luxe/

The lightbox doesn’t work also. Regretfully, this particular request is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself. If you have any further questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.

I had a look but I don’t think this is what I need, or I don’t understand how to make that work..
What you see on top of this page http://www.ochw.nl/autos/ is a way to search through the catalogue/portfolio of cars. You select multiple options and than click to search for those cars. I don’t see how I can fix that with a menu?..

So I guess I am looking for a way to setup a catalogue/portfolio with products (in this example cars) and that have a sorting/search menu for the customers so they can easily search through the whole catalogue. When they select a few options and click on search they should be able to see their own selection based on the options they selected..

I hope this make more sense but If I am still not clear please let me know and I can try to explain better.

    Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hello Aida,

Thanks for the updates! Please keep in mind that you do not have much control with iframe contents. You cannot even pass any click events from inside the iframe contents. You must modify the contents from the source website. Even adding a lightbox won’t work because you really have to add the lightbox in the source site. There is no way you can add a lightbox in the site and the contents of the lightbox is coming from the source site of the iframe.

The best way you can have a sortable/searchable catalogue is that all your contents must come from the same domain and do that with custom sort/search functions. Once your data is coming on the same domain, you can use a 3rd party plugin Essential or TheGrid to display the items along the with filter/sort/search feature which could also possible have a lightbox feature as you click on the image in the result page.

    Hope this helps.
