I know this needs customization but can’t find the page where I saw the instructions to do this. I’m using Icon so I have custom sidebars.

This site is for a client who will be adding their own blog posts via post-by-email. When they do this, the sidebar doesn’t show up because it needs selected. How can I set it up so the sidebar is added to a new post automatically?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi there,

Are you using Custom Sidebars? In that case you must need to assign them manually and could not be done through such plugin.

    Thanks!

Yes, I’m using custom sidebars in the Icon stack.

I’m not looking for a plugin solution.

I was wondering if there was a way to customize so the sidebar is added to all blog posts automatically. My client will be posting to the blog themselves and won’t be able to log in and add the sidebar to each post individually (that’s why I mentioned post-to-email).

If this isn’t an option, can you tell me how I could set up so post pages are full width with no sidebar?

    Hi There,

I am not quite sure I understand your issue, but if you want to have a blog without a sidebar.

Create a page to be used as your blog > Edit Page > Once you are on your WordPress Classic Editor > Under the blue update button you will find > Page Attributes > Page Templates > Select Blank No Container Header Footer.

    Hope that helps
