I have an image that I’m using as a background for a title that isn’t working right when I choose the parallax option. The image is 1200×400 but when I choose parallax, it zooms in much closer and the image looks pixelated.

The image is sized correctly when I turn off parallax, but it doesn’t scroll. I’ve attached screenshots with parallax off and on.

    Any suggestions?

I’ve tried a 1500×750 image also and it has the same problem.

    Hi there,

The image needs to be zoomed for parallax effect and that’s usual. Your section height seems a bit smaller and that’s why you are not getting better result. Your image will be zoomed for parallax, so you need to choose an image that will still look good after zoom.

    Cheers!

I was using the same sized image before yesterday and it worked fine. I’m not sure I understand what changed. So you’re saying I need to use a larger image?

    Hi there,

I can see it fine because you didn’t enable parallax – http://prntscr.com/d8k6xs

But if you enable parallax then it won’t be the same since simple background is not same as parallax background. To show you the parallax effect, the image needs to be zoomed and acquire more space to keep the image visible on scroll.

    Hope this makes sense.
