    Oh! Maybe it has something to do with making spacers that are visible only on mobile sizes?

    I think I found a work around by duplicating 1px gaps and moving them around. Seems to drag the limits of the backgrounds to the edges where they meet and it’s only 1px so it’s not noticeable.
