I have the original three stack child themes installed, and am using the Icon theme.

I tried just upgrading the theme and it killed the site layout.

Visual Composer isn’t working right either (v 4.3.5)

Am I so far behind in updates that the site is unusable?

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! That is quite a jump in updates and there have been several changes made. However, how much you need to update depends on what customization you have done.

First off, we are now using just one child theme that handles all stacks.
X-Shortcodes has been replaced with Cornerstone which also adds our own builder (we recommend you try this out)

There have been a few structural changes, so like mentioned above, it would really depend on how heavy you customized your site. It may just be that you need to move your changes into an updated child theme.

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentials
