    Hello,
I’d like to create my site with a child theme, however when I download the child-theme folder from the member’s site there are no zip files in it.
    There are the files
    framework
    functions
    screenshot
    styles
but there are no zip files in any of these.

    thanks
    Amanda

    Hey Amanda,

The child theme download at https://theme.co/x/member/child-theme/ is already an installable zip file. The items you’ve listed is the child theme structure. Please see https://theme.co/x/member/kb/how-to-setup-child-themes/ to learn how to use it.

    Thanks.

I’m having the same issue. I download open the unzipped folder open x-child from desktop: x-child -> framework -> views -> integrity and there are no folders or content left. I have viewed the video tutorial as well. I’ve tried using filezilla to install x-child folder into the “themes” folder under wp-content as well. It uploads to my appearance -> themes but at the bottom of the page reads (need to upload parent theme). I re-installed parent theme with no luck. If I sent you my email in a private message can you send me the zip file? I’m at a lose. Thank you for your help!!

    Hi there,

Sorry about the confusion. The new version of our Child Theme setup is now only contain one folder which is the x-child. You will need to place this folder inside your Root/wp-content/themes/ directory. Then Activate the new Child Theme as shown here (http://prntscr.com/663tb9) using your WordPress back-end (Appearance -> Themes).

    Hope that’s clear!
